That sums us up, and if that’s you too - whether you are an absolute beginner, more advanced, or a pro photographer in any field - let us show you and your camera our favourite cities. Not only do we provide an assignment based workshop, The Photo Weekender saves you hours of research by expertly planning photography orientated itineraries complete with awesome food stops - all booked in advance (unless we hit a food market) for sociable group meals in tried and tested eateries!
Led by Polly Rusyn, a professional photographer, Official Fujifilm X-Photographer, and former adventure travel tour leader - our photo adventures take place within 48 hours over three days (an afternoon, a full day and a morning) in a European city. Unless it's a Long Weekender, which is three full days and a morning with a bit more free time thrown in. Just book your own flights and accommodation to suit your budget, pack anything that can capture an image and join a bunch of like-minded friendly photographers who love to travel, and we’ll sort out the rest. Join us for a weekend of street photography, city exploration, new friends, bad jokes, good laughs and the chance to learn something too. Make a Weekender part of a longer holiday or just come away with us for a quick escape...
Through a series of briefings and photography assignments we show you how to shoot strangers Ninja-style so you can become confident making candid photos on the street; introduce you to the building blocks of what makes a great photo in terms of light, composition and storytelling, so you can be as creative as you want - no postcard shots here! We will wow you with elements of colour theory and Gestalt principles of visual perception, and promise never to stand you in a spot and tell you what to shoot - instead we give you the tools to see photo opportunities, capture your own unique moments and observations, and develop your own style. But most importantly you’ll return home with super memories, great pictures and improved skills as a candid photographer. Sounds awesome right?!

It was an awesome weekend, and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone, regardless of their level of photography skills, as Polly skilfully develops the 'inner photographer' in us all. Thank you Polly for being the 'hostess with the mostess': everything was brilliantly organised and I had a great time, as indeed I did on the two previous trips. I look forward to the next one.
